MALAGA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE

Pursuant to §§31027 and 31105 of the California Water Code, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on April 28, 2021, at 6 p.m. at the District office located at 3580 S. Frank Street, Fresno, California 93725, the Board of Directors of the Malaga County Water District (“District”) will consider adopting Ordinance No. 2021-1 amending chapter 11 of title 2, chapter 7 of title 1, and chapter 5 of title 3 of the Malaga County Water District Ordinance Code (“Malaga Code”).

SUMMARY of Ordinance No. 2021-1: The proposed ordinance amends section 2.11.040 of the Malaga Code to restrict outdoor/landscape watering to two (2) days per week during the summer; adds section 1.07.050 to the Malaga Code to clarify the prohibition against unauthorized use or theft of water and utility service and establishes a fine for violating the section at $1,000.00; adds section 3.05.015 to the Malaga code to clarify that industrial/commercial users may be required to obtain an individual waste water discharge permit pursuant to the District’s pretreatment program.
